Sukhwan’s very first wine: a 100% Jacquère given a delicate maceration that adds a whisper of texture while drinking like a pure alpine white. At just 10% alcohol, it is luminous and feather-light, with notes of citrus, pear blossom, and mountain herbs. Unsulphured and remarkably clean, it shows rare precision for a debut cuvée. The label features art by rising Korean artist Moodi Kim, highlighting the singularity of this release.
Perched on the steep slopes of Chignin, Domaine H embodies the meeting of Savoyard tradition with a fresh new perspective. Since 2023, Korean-born vigneron Sukhwan Ha has been crafting wines that are already making waves.
His path to the vines began in the world of Michelin-starred gastronomy: first as sommelier at Pierre Orsi in Lyon and at Cordeillan-Bages, then helping to bring Lyon’s Le Passe Temps to life. There, together with chef Younghoon, he became the first Korean in France to win a Michelin star. But it was in leaving the dining rooms for the vineyards of the Jura that his winemaking journey truly took shape: a formative year alongside Pierre Overnoy and Emmanuel Houillon gave him both craft and conviction.
Today in Chignin, Savoie, he tends historic vines with patience and respect. The clay-limestone slopes yield pure, vibrant cuvées, harvested at perfect ripeness. In the cellar: stainless steel and old barrels preserve the brilliance of the fruit; vinification is natural; the wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered, without sulfur save for an infinitesimal touch in one or two cuvées when necessary.
Already present on some of Europe’s greatest wine lists, Sukhwan’s wines stand out for their sincerity and depth. They are terroir wines: alive, luminous, and guided by a vigneron deeply in love with plants, soil and life itself. Domaine H may be young, but it has already become essential: proof that a new generation can respect tradition while moving it forward.
At Juju, we are privileged to be among the very first to share these wines beyond France and Korea — a small allocation at a moment when their reputation is soaring and their scarcity already felt.
