Sukhwan Ha

Domaine

H

Perched on the steep slopes of Chignin, Domaine H embodies the meeting of Savoyard tradition with a fresh new perspective. Since 2023, winemaker Sukhwan Ha, originally from Korea, has been crafting wines that are already making waves.‍

Before the vineyard, his path ran through Michelin-starred gastronomy. Sommelier at Pierre Orsi in Lyon and at Cordeillan-Bages, then co-founder of Le Passé Temps in Lyon, he and his partner Younghoon became the first Koreans to earn a Michelin star in France. But it was by leaving the dining rooms for the vineyards of the Jura that his winemaking vision took shape: a formative year spent alongside Pierre Overnoy and Emmanuel Houillon instilled both vision and inspiration.

Today in Torméry, Savoie, he has taken over historic vines which he now tends with respect and patience. The clay-limestone slopes yield pure, vibrant cuvées harvested at optimal ripeness. In the cellar: stainless steel and old barrels preserve the brilliance of the fruit; natural vinification; wines unfiltered, unfined, and unsulfured — with only one or two cuvées receiving infinitesimal amounts of SO₂ when truly necessary.

Already present on some of Europe’s greatest wine lists, Sukhwan’s wines stand out for their sincerity and depth. They are terroir wines that areliving, luminous and guided by a vigneron deeply in love with plants, soil, and life itself. Still young yet already essential, Domaine H reflects the energy of a new generation of winemakers: heirs to tradition, yet resolutely looking forward.

At Juju, we are privileged to be among the very first to distribute these wines outside of France and Korea. We’re honoured to share a small allocation of these wines at a moment when their reputation is  soaring and their scarcity already felt.
